It's raining out, the rain is falling harder and harder, lightening and thunder...take Shelter
The snow if falling, the winds are piercing and the air is so cold you can see your own breath...take Shelter
Natural disaster...take Shelter
Too hot...take Shelter
You feel sad and lonely, and need a break from the day...take Shelter
We don't necessarily need some major outside occurrence or circumstance to give ourselves permission to "Take Shelter." Shelter can come to us as taking a break from a busy day. Taking that meeting that you have scheduled as a time to do your yoga practice instead. It's recognizing fear, anger, anxiety or addition in the face.
Most important is noticing and recognizing that we are worth taking the time and attention away from other things to give to ourselves in a form of care, recuperation, rest and retreat.
Allow yourself to Take Shelter...
mmm all this take shelter stuff seems like a marketing pitch to me Hagar... next you will tell me that you are busy in downward facing dog pose...Alright you could certainly be.. but you know what I mean...
