Look Beyond...

I am having a bad day because the person in the cube next to me is annoying...I am upset because someone cut me off in traffic...I will never go to that restaurant because they have terrible service...

These are often these "blanket" statements we make on a daily basis without even really thinking. Have you ever heard anyone say 'it was a really bad year for me.' Really?? All 365 days were bad???

What we don't realize is that there is something else we are all missing? Look beyond, look deeper...there is more to it than allowing an insignificant event or situation affect our state of being. Maybe instead of another person being annoying, we need to practice patience. Instead of reacting to the person who cut you off, rise above and know that it may have drawn your alertness back onto the steering wheel and to safety. Maybe at the restaurant, you have to show gratitude for the food and service you are able to experience in today's world.

Get in close, closer, look harder and deeper, look beyond the surface situation and find a deeper meaning.
