Did you ever notice how you yawn immediately after someone else yawns? Or when you smile at someone, it tends to bring about a smile. Someone smiles at you and you smile back. Someone growls at you, so you growl back. I sniff your butt, you sniff mine back - my initial action causes a similar reaction and vise verse...
We often respond to the way someone comes at us in a similar matter, our attitude or facial expression can actually determine how someone else is going to come back at us. We are nervous and high strung for a meeting, and so we find the others around us quickly respond to our energy in the same way - the result, a stressful high strung group of people creating stressful tasks or responsibilities.
In the same breath your have to trust your instincts - if you feel the need to growl at someone or be alerted by something unsafe, trust that instinct, but know that you will most likely be met by a similar response as the one you're giving off. It's the ebb and flow of our daily interactions that we must come to recognize. Most important is to be aware of your action or reaction and to take care of you first.
Wag your tail today, wag so that everyone can see and create a happy, excitement in the air for others to join in with...growl only when necessary...
