Just ignore it...

It's so easy to get overly involved in something that doesn't even pertain to us. It's so easy to react to a comment or a situation that although we may feel involved, doesn't really involve us at all. A family member is going through a situation and you feel the need to help assist in a successful outcome. A coworker directs a rude or negative comment your way. A friend neglects to call or make an attempt to visit for weeks at a time.

These things can begin to take a tole on our energy, on our positive outlook on our everyday activities. We can feel saddened, offended, burdened, angry, etc for these situations that really don't need our attention, yet we feel obligation to get involved with. The best solution is to just ignore, to look the other way, to know that people are on their own path, just as you are on yours, and although they react and experience things that you may feel involve or affect you, they don't. Not an easy task, but with a little bit of practice, a strong breath and foundation, you will realize that it's more about them than about you...let them deal with their own issues as you continue to work on yours.

Ignore it...go find a good cookie with your puppy and look the other way.
