Branch Out

If you think of your life like a tree, you can think of having strong or shallow roots, you can consider whether the core of who you care is full and thick with healthy strong bark, or sort of needing some additional growth - something hasn't been working for us, so we feel dried out and rotted. And how about the branches, some grow tall and thick and long, and some are just short little branches. Maybe these are the lessons we learn or the paths we choose to take.

We've had a full winter of the cold and climate affecting the exterior of our tree, tearing away leaves, and drying up the outside of our appearance, beating into our trunk. Hopefully, we've been digging our roots deep to find nourishment and continual support to strengthen the inside of us. Which branches are the longer, stronger branches - maybe they represent the biggest lessons and the strongest paths we follow. Which are the shorter branches that we can take time to acknowledge their presence without dwelling on it. How about the trees you share space with, are your roots intertwined? Do you need to cut some of the ties or bond closer together with those around you? Consider who you shelter, protect from the elements...all of these things represent who we are.

Take a look the tree that represents who you are....take time and give it a good climb...
