I went to go poddy outside yesterday and was greeted by a chill in the air. It was an overcast sky, cold breeze with wet drizzle. I immediately wanted to retreat to my comfortable blankie inside with a good episode of Cesar Millan and a cookie. I wanted to burrow...
A burrow is a hole or tunnel dug into the ground usually by an animal to create a space suitable for habitation, or to take temporary refuge. Burrows provide a form of shelter against exposure to the elements, and is a way of life that is quite popular among the animals.
Burrow days are necessary to help bring us back to reality...it's a personal day you take when you're not sick, and you feel fine, you just need some time to yourself. Make sure you're not missing anything major going around you, and then know that it's OK to take a day, snuggle in on the couch, put on your favorite movie and just sink in.
Burrow with your puppy...
