Resist the Overthought...

The mind will drive you to insanity...it will give you thoughts that are not true, feed you lines or stories that are created without validity, will make you think things that are untrue are true, create false situations and so much more. Someone could send you an email, or not respond via text right away, a tone of voice or a look could alarm you, and BOOM the mind runs rapid. Next thing you know, you're crying, in the fetal position and have gone into lock down in your own home searching for protection. All because an experience was simply over thought...

Maybe you're not a victim to this, but for some, over thinking can be run into this from time to time and feel paralyzing. The good news? We  can avoid this, we can move beyond the over thought and resist that of which the mind feeds us and look at a higher lesson a higher ideal. By practicing our yoga, living our truth, sticking to our intentions, reading motivational messages or texts, we can move beyond what the mind tells us and stay clear of our dramatic self. It takes practice, a commitment, and an unwavering strength to learn and educate ourselves.

The next time you are confronted with an unsatisfactory experience, look at it through the eyes of your puppy...take it for what it's worth, look at the facts - stay strong and resilient of what the mind might start to feed you and resist over thinking it.
