Lend a Helping paw...

Tis' the season of giving, it's true...but let's define what sort of "giving" we should expect of ourselves this year. It is really easy to feel like we need to spend lots of money and purchase gifts and presents to hand out to all of our friends and loved ones. Taking advantage of door-buster deals, and overspending on trinkets, bells and whistles to offer up as a sign of our love. And how about those puppies who are in need - shouldn't we be buying gadgets and necessities for those who have less?

With so much giving to be done, it can become a bit stressful financially and take away from our own enjoyment. Maybe we're in a financial place that has limited the amount of money we can actually spend...how can we continue to give this season??

Let's try to move this spirit of giving away from material goods. What if we offer our time, effort and services to those around us. Assist someone with putting up their decorations, lend a helping had to someone who needs it, donate your time at a shelter or offer a listening ear and support to someone feeling blue. By being of service to someone, we are truly in the spirit of giving from the heart.

This Holiday season, lend a helping paw with your puppy...

  1. Speaking of giving, I wish my mother would give me a bath. (Note my dirty paw in the close-up.)

  2. Dirty paws or clean paws, try to give a lended paw to those who are appreciative and don't judge the paw they are given...
