With the cold weather here, the days getting shorter and darker earlier and with a new fall line up of shows on TV, it's so easy to get caught up in watching too much television.
We may not be as excited to jump up and get outside, but it is still important to cultivate the mind with music, books, a craft or just spending some quality time with another.
Pick up to 5 of your favorite TV shows for the week - if you are fortunate enough to have a recording mechanism, take time to set the recordings so that you can watch them at a later date. Television is something that is not good for us to watch every single day and should be done in moderation (see previous blog). By picking your five favorite shows ahead of time, you're more likely to watch your show and then shut the TV off and move onto something else. Without doing so it's easy to get caught up in mindless hours of watching nothing!
Trust me, I know what it's like to get caught up in a great episode of Cesar Milan...but again, I try to find a balance between how much I watch and doing other things.
Pick a favorite show with your puppy...
