To focus, to tune in, concentrate – staying in line and in touch with what you are doing at any given moment. For example, whether you are at work, or at home, or finding just the right spot to go potty outside, you should keep your mind centered on one thing at a time so that you are dedicating ALL of your attention to it. Maybe your focus is on a larger goal that you are working on...In all cases, try to avoid outside distractions that may detour you from that task or goal. Make sure your gaze is soft, you have a sense of awareness on what you are doing – this will help keep you attentive to what your body is doing in relation to your breath and your mind. Since it is easy to become distracted when the eyes are wandering all over the room, “keep your eye on the ball” as they say.
